Cormac O'Doherty says Slaughtneil will curb festive revelry as they chase 2017 glory

Cormac O'Doherty says Slaughtneil's squad "won't be able to enjoy Christmas much" this year as they prepare to chase All-Ireland glory on two fronts in the Spring.

O'Doherty helped the Derry club comfortably see off London champions St Kiernan's 2-11 to 0-5 in the All-Ireland Club Football quarter-final at Greenford to set up a semi-final against Leinster champions St Vincent's in February.

"That was just a stepping stone. We can make 2017 a year to remember. 2016 has been good but the apple is there for us to grab in 2017," said O'Doherty.
