'If wee John was here, he would be lifting the cup'

Neil McManus pays tribute to Cushendall's club stalwart John McKillop who sadly didn't live to see the Ruairi Og's latest Antrim Senior Hurling triumph against Loughgiel on Sunday.

"If wee John was here, which sadly he's not, he would be lifting the cup for us today," said McManus of the hugely popular McKillop, who died earlier this year.

Speaking after his side's dramatic 1-20 to 1-19 triumph, McManus added: "He was a huge part of our club and the one constant through about five decades of hurling in Cushendall."
