Cushendall edged out by O'Loughlin Gaels in thriller

Cushendall's hopes of reaching the All-Ireland Club Hurling Final are dashed as they suffered an agonising 1-17 to 1-16 defeat by Kilkenny side O'Loughlin Gaels.

Joseph McLaughlin's early goal helped the Ulster champions lead 1-6 to 1-1 but Sean Bolger's goal contributed to O'Loughlin Gaels cutting the margin to 1-10 to 1-7 by half-time.

O'Loughlin Gaels moved ahead for the first time in the 51st minute and while a thumping injury-time point from Neil McManus - his ninth - drew Dall level once more, David Fogarty's score earned the Kilkenny outfit an All-Ireland Final meeting with Galway side St Thomas'.
