Monaghan keeper Rory Beggan says his pursuit of an NFL deal as a kicker had no impact on his or the team's display in the defeat by Cavan on Sunday.

Beggan impressed and was named man-of-the-match despite Monaghan losing the Ulster SFC preliminary round tie 3-12 to 1-12 at Clones.
