Eddie Izzard takes you behind the scenes of the BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards ceremony at the SSE Hydro in Glasgow.

Our cameras followed Eddie throughout the day as he chatted to the 15 Unsung hero regional winners, met sports personalities on the red carpet, and encouraged support for the 'Big Thank You', where the nation showed it's appreciation to the people who give up their time and expertise to grassroots sport.

Eddie is a patron of Join In, the London 2012 legacy charity for sport volunteering.
