It has been a fantastic year for women's sport in 2014.
From the Women's Rugby World Cup triumph and the Ashes victory in cricket, to individual successes at Sochi, the Commonwealth Games, the World Athletics Championships and the World Equestrian Games, it has been a year to remember for British sportswomen.
"This is a massive turning point for women's sport," declared England's World Cup winning rugby captain Katy Mclean as she accepted the team award at the BBC Sports Personality of the Year awards in Glasgow earlier this month.
