Robert Adams first picked up a hockey stick in 1944 when he was 14 years old. 70 years later he still plays every week for his local club.
He was recently awarded a Guinness World Record for being the oldest player in the world after successfully playing a full 70 minutes for West Derby Hockey Club's third team in the North West Hockey League.
Rob, aged 84 said: "My wife would have liked me to retire years ago, but I still keep on playing, it keeps me going!"
