Get Inspired: Extreme running for her cause

In order to have the funds needed to maintain an animal sanctuary (for around 400 animals) Fiona Oakes has been running marathons and ultra-marathons in extreme environments.

As well as placing in the top 20 in the London marathon, Fiona holds the record for running seven marathons in seven continents plus the north pole. She's also a vegan and runs in a cow suit to raise awareness of animal cruelty.

Her next challenge is to run 150/160 miles through the Sahara desert.
