Get Inspired: Local Football coach on her non-stop football coaching
June Kelly was awarded an MBE for her work coaching children in the local area and starting up football club Abraham Moss Warriors.
The club was born out of frustration at the lack of activities for children in the local area, it has now become a central part of the local community. Abraham Moss Warriors had two teams in the semi-finals of the FA Peoples Cup.
June tells us: "I'm nick named as the Pied Piper of Cheetham Hill. We're much more than a football club, I would say we're like a social project, if we can keep the young people and adults out of Cheetham Hill and give them something positive to do.
We want to be known as the hub of the community. We're like one big massive family really."
