BBC Unsung Hero: Groombridge's Steve James wins South East award
Steve James has been named BBC Sport Unsung Hero for the South East region for his work in Groombridge.
After volunteering to improve access to sport at primary school level, the reach of his commitment has been felt throughout the local community.
The 61-year-old was instrumental in raising £85,000 to build a community sports pavilion and also created a village legacy games that has got a broad range of people competing in an annual sporting event.
