Belfast Giants romp to 4-1 win away to Coventry

The Belfast Giants chalked up a comfortable 4-1 win away to the Coventry Blaze in Saturday night's Elite League encounter.

Player-coach Derrick Walser gave the Giants the lead with a fine slap shot at 12:36 and Blair Riley added two more goals in the first period.

After a goalless second session, Steve Saviano netted early in the last period to establish a four-goal advantage

A deflected Bjorn Bombis pulled one back for Blaze with 1:18 remaining.

The Giants went on to win 2-1 away to Nottingham Panthers on Sunday, again in the Elite League.
