Olympic pentathlon venue is GB star's 'worst nightmare'
British pentathlete Mhairi Spence jokes to BBC Sport that the undulating Greenwich Park - next year's Olympic venue - is her "worst nightmare" after Sunday's World Cup Final in London.
Each pentathlon event concludes with a combined running and shooting finale, and a four-kilometre run over the park's hills proved a tough proposition for Spence at the end of a day which also involved fencing, swimming and show jumping.
Spence finished fifth, the best-placed of three British contenders. The competition doubled as the venue's 2012 Olympic test event.
Olympic silver medallist Heather Fell, who finished seventh behind Spence, said: "As a whole, the venue is absolutely awesome."
