GB's Jamie Cooke in good shape for London 2012 berth
Modern pentathlete Jamie Cooke, external is in good shape to earn a position in the GB 2012 Olympic squad by finishing fourth at the European Championships, external at Medway Park, Kent.
The 20-year-old broke his own world record and became the first modern pentathlete to dip under the 1 minute 50 second mark, external in the 200m freestyle en-route to securing a position for GB in his event at the London Games.
The 2011 European Championship title was won by two-time Olympic champion Andrei Moiseev of Russia, as BBC Sport's Nick Hope reports.
