Olympic legacy: Pentathlon 'proved a point at London 2012'

Team GB's modern pentathlon director Jan Bartu tells BBC Points West the sport earned the right to remain in the Olympics with its success at London 2012.

The event, first held at the 1912 Games, was one of several at risk of being excluded from future Olympics.

After the performance of all 26 sports at London 2012 was assessed by the International Olympic Committee, it was decided wrestling would be dropped from 2020.

And Bartu believes Samantha Murray's silver medal for Team GB, plus the reaction of the sell-out crowds that watched the event in London, proved it deserved to keep its status.
