Yamaha's Lorenzo seeks to challenge Stoner for 2012 title
Former MotoGP world champion Jorge Lorenzo is confident he can be closer to Honda's Casey Stoner this season after a "difficult" 2011 which the Australian dominated, with Lorenzo settling for second position.
2010 champion Lorenzo reveals he has recovered "easier than expected" from losing part of a finger following a crash at Phillip Island in October, and the Spaniard states he wishes to "finish his career" with the Yamaha factory team as he heads into the final season of his current contract with the Japanese outfit.
