Casey Stoner suffers a nasty crash during qualifying for Sunday's Indianapolis Grand Prix.

The Australian rider lost control of his bike early on in Saturday's qualifying session, and suffered, among other things, torn ligaments, bone damage and fractures in the crash.

Remarkably, the Repsol Honda rider was declared fit to race in Sunday's GP and managed a fourth-place finish.
