Scott Redding roars to maiden Moto2 pole in Texas
Britain's Scott Redding takes his first ever Grand Prix pole position in the dying seconds of Moto2 qualifying in Austin, United States.
The Marc VDS rider's lap was nearly seven tenths of a second faster than Japanese rider Takaaki Nakagami, with Spaniard Nicolas Terol set to start third on the grid in Texas.
Redding, from Quedgeley in Gloucestershire, jokes that he has waited "long enough" to claim a pole and hopes the "tables are turning" on his luck for the rest of the season.
