United States MotoGP: Bradl takes maiden pole, Crutchlow fifth

Germany's Stefan Bradl takes his maiden MotoGP pole as he is fastest in qualifying for the United States Grand Prix at at Laguna Seca.

LCR Honda rider Bradl tells BBC Sport's Azi Farni taking pole is "incredible", after lapping the Californian circuit 0.017 seconds ahead of championship leader Marc Marquez, with Gresini's Alvaro Bautista third.

Britain's Cal Crutchlow is fifth while reigning world champion Jorge Lorenzo and Honda's Dani Pedrosa, who are both riding with broken collarbones, are sixth and seventh respectively.
