Cal Crutchlow explains move from Yamaha to Ducati
Britain's Cal Crutchlow calls his decision to leave Tech3 Yamaha for the Ducati factory team in 2014 "a good move".
The 27-year-old says Yamaha made him a "token" offer to remain with their satellite outfit but says he was not guaranteed any factory equipment to ride on, and so chose to make the switch to the Italian manufacturer who have struggled in recent seasons.
Yamaha will replace Crutchlow with Spaniard Pol Espargaro, with the Briton replacing 2006 world champion Nicky Hayden and re-forming his partnership with 2012 Tech3 team-mate Andrea Dovizioso at Ducati.
