MotoGP: Jorge Lorenzo claims Australian pole with lap record

Jorge Lorenzo breaks the lap record as he claims pole position for Sunday's Australian MotoGP at Phillip Island.

The defending world champion beat championship leader Marc Marquez by 0.221secs, with Lorenzo's Yamaha team-mate Valentino Rossi third and Britain's Cal Crutchlow sixth.

Marquez can clinch the championship on Sunday if he wins the race and Lorenzo finishes third or lower.
