McIver ready for Derry challenge

Brian McIver says he is ready for the challenge of becoming the new Derry manager after his appointment was confirmed on Thursday night.

The former Donegal boss has named Paddy Tally and Paddy Crozier as his backroom team, a combination which he describes as "a good mix of youth and experience".

McIver says there is a good pool of talent in the Oak Leaf county and a number of promising players coming through the ranks.
