Lord Coe wants to see Rory McIlroy at Rio 2016 Olympics

Lord Coe says he wants to see current world number two Rory McIlroy compete in the inaugural golf tournament at the Rio 2016 Olympics.

McIlroy could compete for Great Britain and Northern Ireland or Ireland at the Games, but has also hinted that he may opt out of the tournament because of the situation.

"It's going to be a tough one but my gut instinct is that it's up to Rory to make the decision," Coe told the BBC.
