Guy Martin explains his North West 200 chicanery

Guy Martin says he is sorry for his paddock outburst at the North West 200 on Thursday - but says he still doesn't like chicanes.

Martin had expressed his exasperation with the chicanes on the course, adding that he had "no interest" in racing.

However, a calmer Martin tells BBC Sport on the grid on Saturday morning that he is "sorry for the way the comments came out".

"You stuck a microphone in my face in the heat of the moment," jabs a smiling Martin at BBC Sport presenter Stephen Watson.

"I don't like chicanes but I'm sorry for the way my words came out. As an event, the North West 200 is mega."
