Manager Jim McCorry says Down had chances to win

Down manager Jim McCorry says referee Eddie Kinsella was not to blame for his side's 0-12 to 0-11 defeat by Derry in the Ulster Championship clash at Celtic Park.

The Mourne men had corner half-back Conaill McGovern harshly sent off in the second half, but boss McCorry insisted they had chances to win the contest.

Down will now play in the All-Ireland qualifiers, with their first-round game scheduled for 27 June.
