Donegal boss Gallagher says Murphy was 100% fit for Galway tie

Donegal manager Rory Gallagher says reports that Michael Murphy was not fully fit in Saturday's All-Ireland qualifier win over Galway were "unfounded rumours".

Despite suggestions before the match that Murphy would not start, the Donegal captain did line out and went on to score three points in the 3-12 to 0-11 win.

However, the 10-point winning margin flattered Donegal and Gallagher acknowledged that Galway were the "much the better side for long periods of the first half".
