North West 200: Dan Cooper says he couldn't avoid Ryan Farquhar crash

English rider Dan Cooper says Ryan Farquhar "lost the front end" of his bike before the serious North West 200 crash on Thursday night which left the Dungannon man seriously ill in a Belfast hospital.

Gloucester man Cooper, 28, was released from Causeway Hospital in Coleraine overnight after sustaining two dislocated shoulders.

Farquhar, 40, was airlifted to Belfast's Royal Victoria Hospital and the county Tyrone man remains seriously ill in intensive care following surgery.

The crash led to the Supertwin race being halted although Ivan Lintin was declared the winner on Friday morning as he led after the second lap.
