Mitchell-Thomas a 'shining star' - McCallen

Eleven-times North West 200 winner Phillip McCallen says the death of rider Malachi Mitchell Thomas at Saturday's meeting is a "loss to the sport".

Mitchell Thomas died following a crash at Dhu Varren in the Supertwins race.

The 20-year-old from Lancashire was a North West 200 newcomer and came in fourth earlier on Saturday in the Supersport event.
