European Athletics Championship: Mo Farah retains 5,000m title

Britain's Mo Farah retains his 5,000m title at the European Athletics Championships in Helsinki in a time of 13 minutes 29.91 seconds.

The world champion took the lead at 3,000m and remained at the front before accelerating away from the pack on the final lap, with Germany's Arne Gabiuis second and Turkey's Polat Kemboi Arikan third.

Farah's last track appearance before the Olympics was described as "pretty impressive" by Steve Cram as he retained the title he won in Barcelona two years ago.
