BBC Olympics: Get involved with... Swimming

The Olympic Park's spectacular Aquatics Centre will be the venue for London 2012's swimming contests.

Sharron Davies, who won silver in the 400m medley at the Moscow Games in 1980, told BBC Sport how a childhood dedicated to swimming provided the platform for her Olympic success.

British Swimming is working with the BBC to get the UK into the pool in a celebration of swimming called the Big Splash. A wide range of activities, including competitive races, swimming lessons and aqua aerobics, are being put on in swimming pools throughout the country.
