Kazakhstan's Alexandre Vinokourov wins Olympic gold in the men's cycling road race, leaving Mark Cavendish's medal hopes in tatters.

Vinokourov sprinted clear of Colombia's Rigoberto Uran in the final stages, while Norway's Alexander Kristoff pipped the rest of the breakaway pack to take bronze.
