Olympic football: France 1-0 Colombia

A first-half strike by France's Elodie Thomis was enough for a win against their Colombian opponents at St James' Park on day four.

The French kept Colombian goalkeeper Sandra Sepulveda on her toes but they were unable to score a second despite several good attempts.
