Olympics gymnastics: Sublime Uchimura takes gold

Kohei Uchimura takes gymnastics all-around gold for Japan after a sublime display at the North Greenwich Arena, with Marcel Nguyen of Germany taking silver.

Uchimura, who won silver in the all-around four years ago in Beijing, scored 92.690 to see off the challenge of German Marcel Nguyen in silver medal position with USA's Danell Leyva in bronze.

Great Britain's Kristian Thomas stumbled on his vault routine and finished seventh, with team-mate Dan Purvis, who at one stage was in 5th place, finishing 13th.
