Houghton and Carney hope GB will inspire future support

Great Britain's Karen Carney and Steph Houghton hope their London 2012 Olympics campaign will help to make a "big step forward" for women's football across the country.

Houghton scored three goals during the tournament, and states she is "gutted" to exit the tournament at the quarter-final stage following a 2-0 defeat by Canada, but is hoping crowds will continue to grow in the second season of the FA Women's Super League.
