Olympic badminton: China' s Li Xuerui wins women's gold

China's Li Xuerui beats compatriot Wang Yihan 2-1 after a close finish in the women's badminton final at Wembley Arena.

The 21-year-old secures gold by taking the last four points of the match after being tied 17-17 in the final set.

Earlier, India's Saina Nehwal prevented China from taking all three badminton women's singles medals after world number two Xin Wang retired because of a knee injury.
