Baku 2015: Are the European Games here to stay?

From 12-28 June 2015 Baku, Azerbaijan, will host the first-ever European Games, which features 20 sports - 16 Olympic and four non-Olympic.

London 2012 champions Jade Jones, Nicola Adams and Ed McKeever headline a 163-strong British team - the nation's largest squad for a non UK-based competition since Beijing 2008.

Organisers hope that the tournament will become a major qualification event for future Olympics, but critics say the sport calendar is already busy enough, whilst some have suggested the country should not be hosting the event owing to its poor human-rights record.

With a month to go until the Games BBC Sport's Nick Hope, external looks as some of the challenges facing Baku 2015 and whether the event is here to stay.
