Rio 2016: Michael Conlan's controversial defeat leads to Irish fury

Michael Conlan's coach and father John says he will tell his son to "get away" from amateur boxing after his controversial Olympic quarter-final defeat on Tuesday.

London 2012 medallist Conlan, Ireland's last remaining boxing medal hope in Rio, lost by unanimous decision to Russia's Vladimir Nikitin in a hugely contentious verdict.

"He won the fight clearly. He'll never box amateur again if I have anything to do with it," said John Conlan, who was in the Belfast man's corner during Tuesday's fight.
