Steve McNamara pleased with Sam Burgess return

England rugby league head coach Steve McNamara says it is "good for our sport" that Sam Burgess has left rugby union to return to the code in which he made his name.

Burgess says family reasons were behind the decision to return after just one season, and an unsuccessful World Cup in union.

The former Bradford Bulls forward, 26, has left Bath and rejoined Australian National Rugby League side South Sydney Rabbitohs on a three-year deal.
