Nick Williams says he is enjoying life on and off the pitch with Ulster

Ulster back row Nick Williams says he is enjoying life on and off the pitch with the Irish province.

The New Zealander says the move to Northern Ireland has brought his family closer and the hospitality received has been even better than he would expect in his home country.

Reflecting on Saturday's Heineken Cup defeat by Northampton, Williams says the squad prepared well, but "didn't turn up to play".

"We didn't play well individually or as a team, they were better than us," admitted Williams.
