Rugby World Cup 2015: Plate inserted in Lydiate eye socket
Wales coach Warren Gatland has revealed Dan Lydiate had a plate inserted in his eye socket following the injury he suffered in Wales' win over Fiji.
Lydiate was fit for consideration for the 15-6 Pool A defeat by Australia that followed but Gatland opted not to pick him against the Wallabies.
Ospreys flanker Lydiate is back to face South Africa in Wales' quarter-final on Saturday.
Wales' regular back-row trio is completed by captain Sam Warburton and number eight Taulupe Faletau with Justin Tipuric on the bench.
