Dr Bennet Omalu: Rugby union's concussion protocols are 'window dressing'

Rugby union needs "drastic changes" in the way it deals with brain injuries, according to Dr Bennet Omalu.

Several former players are taking legal action against the sport's governing bodies for alleged negligence.

Dr Omalu, the pathologist who rocked American football with his research into the brain injuries sustained by NFL players, says rugby's current concussion protocols are mere "window dressing".
