New Zealand on the verge of America's Cup victory

Emirates Team New Zealand claim a 15-second victory in race 11 to take an 8-1 lead over defending champions Team Oracle USA, who had two points docked before the competition began for illegally modifying their catamarans.

The Kiwis need just one more win from the remaining eight races to secure the 34th America's Cup.

Tuesday's races were first delayed until Wednesday and then moved back another 24 hours to Thursday because of excessively high winds.

Overall victory for New Zealand would be their third in the race's 162-year history after they took the title in 1995 and 2000.
