Sigfridsson and Sidorova compete for Glynhill Ladies International

Alan Sloan, organiser of the Glynhill Ladies International curling tournament, talks about the event he and fellow volunteers manage to stage each year at Braehead ice rink.

Now in its ninth year, there are 24 rinks from 11 countries competing from 14-17 January at the Renfrewshire venue. Two of the strongest teams are those skipped by Sweden's Margaretha Sigfridsson, the Olympic silver medallists, and Russia's European champions, led by Anna Sidorova.

Sloan and both competitors speak to BBC Scotland reporter Keir Murray.
