UK Snooker Championship 2012: John Higgins out despite 147 break

John Higgins brings the Barbican Centre crowd to their feet with a 147 maximum break in the UK Championship against Mark Davis, but goes on to lose 6-5.

The 37-year-old Scot earned a £10,000 bonus for what was his second maximum of the season, the first coming in his victory over Judd Trump in the Shanghai Masters final in September.

However Davis edged a tense 11th frame in their second-round encounter to meet Matthew Stevens in the quarter-finals.
