Ali Carter preparing to return to snooker after cancer treatment

Twice World Championship runner-up Ali Carter is preparing to return to snooker after having chemotherapy treatment for lung cancer.

Carter tells BBC Sport he has "one last procedure" to overcome but hopes to compete in the Players' Tour Championship event in Bulgaria in October.

The 35-year-old, who suffers from chronic bowel condition Crohn's disease, has already overcome testicular cancer.
