World Snooker: Ding Junhui makes a mess of 147 chance

China's Ding Junhui misses out on a 147 break at the World Snooker Championships after appearing to forget he was on for a maximum.

Trailing Mark Davis 5-3, Ding was at the table with a break of 96 when he inexplicably played for the blue ball instead of the black.

The commentators, players and audience are left stunned by his error. Perhaps Ding should have checked out our iWonder guide to the perfect 147 break before arriving at the Crucible.
