Superb Rebecca Adlington wins 800m gold

Rebecca Adlington times her race to perfection to win gold in the 800m freestyle at the World Championships in Shanghai.

The 22-year-old was 0.65 seconds behind with two lengths remaining, but overtook defending champion Lotte Friis in the final 50m to win her first world title in the event.

Adlington won in eight minutes 17.51secs.
