Andy Murray's experience will help at US Open - Ivan Lendl

Andy Murray's coach Ivan Lendl believes the Briton's recent Grand Slam record will help him in this year's US Open, where he is two wins away from his first victory.

Murray has reached the semi-finals in seven of the last eight majors, and plays sixth-seed Tomas Berdych of the Czech Republic on Saturday.

However, Lendl has called for greater consistency in Murray's performance, describing him as "terrible and then phenomenal" in his four-set win against Marin Cilic on Thursday.
