Heather Watson says Japan Open win is 'best day of my life'
Briton Heather Watson tells BBC Radio 5 live that winning the Japan Open will be remembered as one of the "best days" of her life.
Watson failed to serve out the match at 5-3 in the second set and then had to save four match points in the third before eventually beating Chang Kai-chen 7-5 5-7 7-6 (7-4).
In doing so, she becomes the first British woman since Sara Gomer in 1988 to win a WTA singles title.
