Defending men's champion Novak Djokovic will have the honour of playing first on Centre court when the tournament begins but does not have quite enough clout to get his pet poodle Pierre into the grounds.

Djokovic opens play on Centre Court against Germany's Philipp Kohlschreiber while Serena Williams plays Russia's Margarita Gasparyan on Court One.
