Alistair Brownlee wins World Series race in San Diego

Alistair Brownlee dominated in his 2013 World Triathlon series debut to win the second race of the season in San Diego, United States.

The Olympic champion even had time to walk across the finish line, ahead of South African Richard Murray in second and Joao Silva of Portugal, who came third.

The Briton says he only trained for six weeks before the event, and admits he is surprised at the tactics of his opponents, who he thought did not "push" enough during the cycling stage of the race.
